6 October 2021:<\/strong> Getting ready for Tech Inspection tomorrow and spent much of the day doing last minute errands, however we did get out for a little while to go exploring in one of my favorite places nearby — the area known as Redstone.\u2026<\/p>\n

5 October 2021:<\/strong> We packed up our Jeeps and left Pahrump this morning to make our way back towards Las Vegas and the hotel where we will be staging for the rally. The hotel seemed quite luxurious looking out over the Lake onto the desert and in the evening we enjoyed the terrace\u2026<\/p>\n

4 October 2021:<\/strong> Spent the day working on roadbook navigation practice and ended up following a route on a lonely dirt track, that was ironically labeled as State Highway 16 on the map. It seemed to lead to nowhere before turning back towards the main road into Pahrump\u2026<\/p>\n

3 October 2021:<\/strong> Did some serious roadbook practice today, and went all the way to Goldfield, where we took a break to visit the International Car Forest of the Lost Church. Then stopped for BBQ in Beatty on the way back to Pahrump\u2026<\/p>\n

1 October 2021:<\/strong> Got out to Big Dune today to practice driving in soft sand and to just enjoy the beauty of such a magnificent place. Was a fun day getting comfortable in the dunes without any of the pressure of the competition \u2026<\/p>\n

\nEvery Day Is a Clean Up Day<\/a> in 2021. Ladies Offroad Network<\/a> has partnered with TreadLightly!<\/a> to create a year-long program that encourages members to pick up trash on the trails whenever they are out off-roading. Participants simply pick up the trash, weigh it, take a photo, and log the location and time it took, then upload the details. At the end of the year there will be a series of prizes based on pounds of trash removed from the trails as well as participation in other TreadLightly! initiatives. This is a great way to do some good on a local level and make a larger impact via the national program…

\nTrail Guiding for the California 4-Wheel Drive Association’s second annual Death Valley Experience<\/a> fundraiser event running in March. Each day will feature a choice of runs to some famous, some infamous and some secretive points of interest within Death Valley National Park. The runs will depart from Furnace Creek and from Stovepipe Wells. Some of the points of interest we will visit during Death Valley Experience 2021 include Zabriskie Point (famous), Barker Ranch (infamous) and the Racetrack (learn the secret of the moving rocks). Other points of interest include Dante\u2019s View, 20 Mule Team Canyon, Artists\u2019 Drive, Chloride Cliffs, Aguereberry Point, Skidoo, Titus Canyon, and Darwin Falls.
