Tout doucement la route s&#8217;est \u00e9lev\u00e9e et nous nous sommes retrouv\u00e9es dans le brouillard ou dans les nuages. Et de l&#8217;autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 : une immensit\u00e9 d\u00e9sertique ! Wahouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu<br><br \/>\nEt ce matin : un cadeau du ciel &#8230; c&#8217;est le cas de le dire ! Un ciel rouge ! Je suis de plus en plus impatiente d&#8217;\u00eatre \u00e0 demain ! Mais tant qu&#8217;on n&#8217;y est pas, on ne se rend pas compte !J&#8217;ai d\u00e9blay\u00e9 la neige pendant toute une heure hier, pour pouvoir un feu de joie !Et c&#8217;\u00e9tait magnifique. <br><br \/>\nEt ce matin, de nouveau ! Autant de neige, pleine d&#8217;eau ! <br><br \/>\nJ&#8217;esp\u00e8re qu&#8217;on va pouvoir partir pour des contr\u00e9es plus chaleureuses ! <br><br><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5>TEAM 171 GETS TOGETHER IN NY SNOW<\/h5>\n<p><br><img class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-952\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/usnomadstudio.com\/usnomads\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/NY_FEB2014_DeSnowingJeep_DSCN5326_650w.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<h6><br><strong>Getting together for the last intensive team training before the Rally, we met up in between winter snow storms in New York.<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><br><\/p>\n<p><strong>4 FEB 2014:<\/strong> Hard to think about training for the desert when there is so much snow we have to dig the Jeep out here in New York! But we&#8217;re headed back to California and are packing up the gear we want to &#8220;test&#8221; prior to the Rally. This will be our last chance to practice as a team in a realistic desert setting, so we need to make it a full &#8220;dress rehearsal.&#8221;<br><br><\/p>\n<hr>\n<h6><a href=\"http:\/\/usnomadstudio.com\/usnomads\/blog\/?page_id=1334\">PREVIOUS NOTES FROM THE ROAD<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/usnomadstudio.com\/usnomads\/blog\/?page_id=1334\">><\/a> <\/h6>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"four columns\">\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>TRACKING THE TEAM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once the Rally starts, you will be able to track the team here each day to see how well we did compared to the &#8220;ideal&#8221; route. The team&#8217;s track will appear as a white line compared to the &#8220;straight line&#8221; course, as in this sample. Seule l&#8217;union de deux caract\u00e8res forts et respectueux l&#8217;un de l&#8217;autre explique que nous soyons arriv\u00e9es \u00e0 nos fins dans chacun de nos d\u00e9fis.<br><br \/>\nCeci est notre premi\u00e8re participation au Rallye des gazelles et nous ne sommes pas des professionels, mais JoMarie a une certaine exp\u00e9rience de l&#8217;Afrique et des situations d&#8217;urgence. D&#8217;autre part, elle s&#8217;est totalement investie dans la pr\u00e9paration de cette course et Isabelle s&#8217;est r\u00e9cemment mise \u00e0 la navigation.<br><br \/>\nLe Rallye des gazelles dans le d\u00e9sert marocain sera le th\u00e9\u00e2tre d&#8217;une nouvelle \u00e9preuve pour nous : une Jeep, une boussole, une carte et tout le pouvoir de notre volont\u00e9 d&#8217;y parvenir fera le reste.<br><br \/>\nCe d\u00e9fi sportif s&#8217;inscrit dans un projet humain plus large, celui de traverser le d\u00e9sert du Sahara d&#8217;Ouest en Est dans l&#8217;espoir d&#8217;accompagner les \u00e9quipes d&#8217;ONG dans leurs micro-projets d&#8217;aide aux peuplades nomades locales. JoMarie en produira un film documentaire qui donnera \u00e0 mieux connaitre les hommes de cette partie du monde.<br><br \/>\nL&#8217;\u00e9quipe 171 prendra fi\u00e8rement son envol le 15 mars 2014 avec toutes les autres participantes ! Et que les meilleures gagnent !<br><br \/>\nMais quelle valeur et quelle port\u00e9e aurait cette le\u00e7on de vie, si nous n&#8217;\u00e9tions pas soutenues par l&#8217;amour de nos proches, de nos amis et de tous ceux qui nous entourent. An advance team from the organization went out on a recon trip in November to select and pre-run the course.
