17 February 2019:<\/strong> Headed out to a place called Government Canyon Natural Area, which is a State Park just outside the edge of San Antonio that has a lot of backcountry hiking and biking trails. Surprisingly, it was very crowded and not as “wilderness”-like as one would have imagined. Still there were many trail options and including this shorter one that climbed a steep rocky section to the top of a hill and back down. It was not the most scenic hike, but it was more challenging than expected due to the loose rock, and made for a great day outside …
